Hoyt E. Morris 89 of 498 Judyville Road Norway SC widower of Margaret Bowers Morris died Saturday February 12 2005 at the Bamberg Hospital.Mr. Morris was born on August 7 1915 in Newberry a son of the late B. Joe and Mary Cotney Morris. He was a retired employee of Joanna Mills and a member of Colony Lutheran Church.Mr. Morris is survived by a daughter Betty Jean Brunson of Norway; two sons Max E. Morris of Myrtle Beach and James R. Morris of Leavenworth KS; a sister Azilee Smith of Newberry; a brother Joe E. Morris of Columbia; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-granchildren.He was predeceased by a sister Alberta Brock and a brother Hermon Morris.Funeral service were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Interment was in Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P. M.
