Ibbie Shedd Kinard 99 of 602 Holloway St. Pomaria widow of J. Alvin Kinard died SaturdayOctober 22 2011 at her residence. Born on December 29 1911 in Monticello Fairfield County she was a daughter of Thomas Willoughby and Alice Irene Berley Shedd. She and her sister Ida Mae were reared in the home of E. E. Partner and Annie Berley Roberts. She married J. Alvin Kinard on December 4 1929 and moved with him to Pomaria. She was the oldest living member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Mrs. Kinard was a teacher of Sunday School and Bible School. She was a faithful member of the Women of the ELCA. She helped organize the Pomaria Bridge Club and remained a member throughout her lifetime. She is survived by a niece/daughter and her husband Nora Kathryn Kinard and Gurnie Stuck of Pomaria; granddaughters and their husbands Kathy Stuck and Timothy Lott of Little Mountain Kim Stuck and Jimmy Moore of Prosperity and Ibbie Elizabeth Stuck and Mark Lester of Little Mountain; great-grandchildren Carl Moore Mary Kathryn Moore Al Moore Jordan Lester Elizabeth Grace Lester and Thomas Lester; nieces and nephews and their spouses James O. and Cheryl Kinard of Little Mountain Kay Kinard and Jim Causey of Lexington Charles and Irma Timms Jr. of San Antonia TX and Mary Timms and Raul Munoz of Hartsville; great-niece and spouse Allison Kinard and Scott White of Little Mountain; great nephews and spouses Jimmy and Jan Kinard of Lexington Jamie and Jane Causey of Irmo Bryan and Christi Causey of Ballentine; and other loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers George R. Shedd and Ravenel Shedd and her sister Ida Mae Timms. Mrs. Kinard was being taken to her home and the family did receive friends there 602 Holloway St Pomaria from 3:00 6:00 P.M. on Sunday October 23. Funeral services were conducted at 4:00 P.M. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols and the Rev. Dr. Derald Edwards. Interment did follow in the church cemetery.
