Inez Julian Pinson, age 98, of Simpsonville, SC passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017.
She was preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, Walter C. Pinson, who was a well known coach in the area.
She is survived by her children, Joyce and Jim Watts, Glenville, NC, Elaine P. and Jim Draeger, Dacula, GA and Walter and Gerlinda Pinson, Fairhope, AL; six grandchildren, Douglas and Angela Schaefer, Panama City Beach, FL, Paige and Will Wirtz, Norfolk, VA, James Draeger, Dacula, GA, Jennifer Pinson, Spartanburg, SC, Rachael Pinson, Greer, SC and Allison and Scott Cox, Bradenton, FL; four great grandchildren; sister, Vera Fowler, Simpsonville, SC; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Bill and Mazie Julian, Stanford, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pinson was born September 11, 1918 in Travelers Rest, SC. She was a homemaker and also a kindergarten teacher at First Baptist Church of Boiling Springs, SC. She was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Simpsonville, SC.
The family would like to thank the Fowler Family from Simpsonville, SC for their loving care and companionship for the last three years.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens Chapel in Boiling Springs, SC with remains being placed in state at the chapel at 1:00 p.m.
Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens in Boiling Springs, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Homestead Hospice in Greenville, SC or Athens, GA in memory of Inez J. Pinson.
