Jack D. Jay Justice 43 of Knoxville TN husband of Lori Turner Justice died Saturday July 14 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville TN. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Newberry SC by the Rev. Dr. David Seymour and the Rev. Dr. Augustus Rodgers. Interment did follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation were from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Thursday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. He was born on September 4 1968 in Spartanburg SC the son of J. D. (Linda C.) Justice of Gaffney and Bula Hudgins Justice of Spartanburg. Jay was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School received his undergraduate degree from USC Spartanburg and his Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Although a graduate of USC he remained an avid Clemson supporter. He was formerly a partner with Columbia Counseling Center in Columbia SC and most recently enjoyed utilizing his love of art and vintage items to create beautiful repurposed objects. In addition to his wife and his parents he is survived by his sister Dena R. Justice of Spartanburg; nephew Grayson Justice of Gaffney; niece Roxanne Justice of Spartanburg and his mother-in-law Cathy Haltiwanger Turner of Newberry. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Lila Lou and Jack D. Hudgins and paternal grandparents Nadine and Dean Justice; and his father-in-law Terry Turner.
