Jackie "Jack" Brice Shealy, age 85 of Newberry, died Friday, August 12, 2022 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born April 24, 1937 in Chapin, SC, he was a son of the late Carl and Thelma Huffstetler Shealy.
Jack was an active member of Colony Lutheran Church. He worked for many years at Shakespeare Composite and then at Stokes-Trainor Chevrolet as a parts delivery driver.
He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan and he and Kathryn also enjoyed watching and listening to the Newberry College Wolves. He loved to fish and had some great fishing expeditions as far away as Alaska and Lake Okeechobee, FL.
Jack never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He loved his church, loved his children, and loved his Stokes-Trainor family. Jack will be remembered as a carefree person who loved everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife Kathryn Bouknight Shealy; daughters, Sharon Tooley (Gene) of Virginia and Suzie Fulmer (Danny) of Prosperity; son, Tommy Shealy of Newberry; step-sons James Harrison (Tammy) of Greenwood and Jason Harrison (Deb) of Croton-on-Hudson, NY; sisters Dottie Elett of Chapin and Jeannie Frick (Jesse Ray) of Chapin; a brother Sonny Shealy of Chapin; grandchildren, Jason Tooley, Kristin McGee, Lori Webb, Justin Addison (Michelle), Katie Garrison (Mike), and Devon Harrison (Chrissy); and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Shealy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, 10:00 AM at Colony Lutheran Church by the Rev. Michele Fischer with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Danny and Suzie Fulmer, 57 Hospitality Court, Prosperity.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff family of Stokes-Trainor Chevrolet.
