James Harold Berry, 80, of Newberry, died at the William Bryan Jennings Dorn Medical Center in Columbia on Monday, November 7, 2023.

He was born to the late Sam and Lilly Berry on February 28, 1943.

James worked in the brickworks after serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Berry; brother, Sam Berry; and sister Betty Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Whitaker Funeral Home, 1704 College Street, Newberry. A visitation will be held one half hour prior to the service.

Interment will take place at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at a later date.
