James Ray Luchock, 65, a resident of Palmetto, FL. died unexpectedly in Newberry, S.C. while visiting with his daughters and grandchildren on March 19, 2023.
He was born on December 28, 1957, in Norwich, CT. he was the son of the late Leon Luchock, and Helen Taggert. He is survived by his two daughters Crystal Hyler & husband, Randle, & Christina Arthur, along with his three grandchildren who affectionately called him "Paw Paw", Angel, Leanne, & Leon Ponton of Newberry, S.C., He is also survived by his twin sister, Leonora Sadler & husband, Lawrence, along with his five sisters, Janet Hubert, Debbie Wilcox, Gabrielle Deojay, Dorothy Marchand, Darlene King and husband, Brian; and many nieces, & nephews.
Jimmy proudly served his country for 6 years in the U.S. Army after leaving high school. He was employed by Daniels Construction in Burlington, KS as an assistant nuclear Pipe Fitter, and then became an over the road truck driver.
He enjoyed backyard bird watching, wrestling, fishing, painting, collectables, family gatherings, and was always happiest spending quality time with his family. Jimmy was many things: funny, generous, thoughtful, and kind, but above all, he was a devoted family man, and an avid Trump supporter.
Funeral services will be held at the Sarasota VA National Cemetery on April 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Sarasota, FL.
