James Randall Plyler, 58 years of age, died on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Monroe, NC, he was a son of Priscilla Ann Rape Plyler of Chester, SC and the late James B. Plyler.
Mr. Plyler was employed with Kraft Hines in Newberry and attended One-to-One Christian Church.
Hunting and fishing were some favorite pastimes for James Randall and he loved his dogs and cats like they were family. He was a devoted and loved husband and uncle.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Lynn Roton Yarbrough Plyler; step-children, Amanda Dancy and husband Ben of Greensboro, NC and Christopher "Jody" Yarbrough and Crystal of Newberry; brother, Jeffery Plyler of Chester; nieces, Jaymie Plyler of Newberry and Emylie Plyler of Chester; mother-in-law, Margaret Roton Bowers of Newberry; Sister-in-law, Kim Roton Lyons of Edisto Beach, brothers-in-law, Ricky Roton and Dany Roton both of Newberry, cousin-in-law, Debra Leavell of Newberry; and his dog Molly and cat Prissy.
A private family only visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 21 at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry.
Graveside funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM on Sunday in Newberry Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Steve Kenny.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Bass, Pete Skidmore, Alex Skidmore, Jody Yarbrough, Ricky Roton, Ben Dancy, and Calvin Funderburk.
The family suggest memorials be made to an animal shelter of your choosing or to Boys Farm, 6655 SC-34, Newberry, SC 29108.
