James Walter JW Hollis 70 husband of Rayleen Anderson Hollis died Saturday January 5 2013 at his home. Born in Chapin SC on February 1 1942 he was a son of the late James Lewis Hollis and Lula Mae Lindler Hollis. The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Campbell 117 Dutchman Shores Chapin and did receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 PM Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapin. Funeral service were conducted at 11:00 Am Tuesday at St. Peter Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Tholstrup. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Hollis was a Navy veteran and retired from Allied Corporation. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and was also a member of the American Legion Post 193 VFW Post 8069 Little Mountain Masonic Lodge # 281 and a Shriner with the Jamil Temple. His retirement years were spent enjoying his children grandchildren and traveling. Surviving are his wife of 48 years; daughter Lisa (Billy) Campbell; son Mark (Tammy) Hollis; grandchildren Ryan and Jonathan Campbell and Paige and Connor Hollis; brother Wayne (Andrea) Hollis; and sister Tina (Mike) Hollis Comalander; all of Chapin; and sister-in-law Bonnie Windham Hollis of Columbia. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Jerral Bruce and Carroll Hollis. Pallbearers will be members of American Legion Post 193. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Bashore Sr. Harold Rikard Allen Hollis Glenn Hollis and Roger Hollis.
