Janet Fortune Wicker 72 of 239 Donna Lynn Lane Prosperity died Friday at her residence. She was born on August 4 1938 in Caseyville IL to the late Lawence W. and Maybelle Eckman Fortune. Janet was a gradute of Belleville High School in Belleville Il and was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Cameron NC. Upon her retirement she was the Chief Telephone Switchboard Operator at Pope Air Force Base. Mrs. Wicker is survived by her husband of 54 years Doyle L. Wicker Jr.; and a son Greg B. Wicker of Ballentine SC. She was predeceased by two children Donna Lynn Wicker and William L. "Bill" Wicker. Services will be held at a later date. The family requests no floral tributes.
