IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer Beck
Sastram
October 7, 1972 – March 13, 2026
Visitation
Funeral Service
Jennifer Beck Sastram, age 53, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2026, in Newberry, South Carolina.
Jennifer was born in Franklin, Maryland, to Michael Beck and Mary Rogers, both of whom survive her. She attended schools in Ware Shoals, South Carolina, and later completed her formal education in Florida, where she worked for many years as a dedicated nurses assistant, caring for others with compassion and kindness.
Jennifer loved music of all kinds, enjoyed traveling, and cherished every moment spent with her grandsons. Her laugh was infectious, her smile radiant, and those who knew her well understood that if she raised her eyebrow, she meant business.
She was actively searching for a new church home but maintained a strong and personal relationship with the Lord throughout her life. Jennifer was also a passionate advocate for all those in recovery, having personal knowledge of the struggles many face. She offered encouragement, understanding, and hope to others walking that path.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Bill Sastram; her son, Tony Goetting; her parents, Michael Beck and Mary Rogers; and her sisters, April Beck Sligh (Bryan Sligh) of Newberry, South Carolina, and Scarlet Poul (Dave Poul) of Cleveland, Tennessee. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Randall Goetting, Carter Goetting, and Luke Goetting, and was joyfully anticipating the arrival of a granddaughter.
She also leaves behind bellowed nephews Austin Tucker and Michael Poul; a very special niece ReGenea Sligh Long; and great-nephews James and Nolan, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Goetting, who passed away in 1991.
Jennifer will be remembered for her loving heart, her strength, her vibrant sprit, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry. Prior to the service, the family will gather for visitation, starting at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local recovery program.
Memories and messages may be shared on her tribute wall.
Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Jennifer Sastram.
