Jennifer Jimmerson Satterwhite

Jennifer Jimmerson Satterwhite, 51, died Monday, March 23, 2026 at her home.

Born on June 24, 1974, in Centre, AL, she was the daughter of Susan Treubig and the late Thomas Jimmerson.

Jennifer received her undergraduate degree from Newberry College (Class of 1996), and her Master’s Degree in Education from the University of South Carolina. She then began her career in education, setting forth a lifelong passion for education and helping students excel. Jennifer’s impact is far and wide, most notably, during her time in the classroom at Joanna Woodson Elementary, as the Literacy Coach at Whitmire Community School, and as the Reading Interventionist at Reuben Elementary.

Outside of the classroom, Jennifer’s favorite pastime was simply being with family and friends. Jennifer and Kevin had a very special bond and together built a life focused on God and family. She treasured their time together whether on the farm, at home, or traveling alongside him. Jennifer was proud of her boys and all they have accomplished. Whether it was watching Dylan in sports at Whitmire and working on the farm, or hearing Austin in the band at Whitmire as well Game Days at Clemson, she was happiest being a part of the things they loved. Jennifer also found joy in time with friends and always looked forward to Tuesday night hangouts where she shared many a laugh with others.

She was a member of Bush River Baptist Church and proud to be a part of the Bush River community.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Kevin Satterwhite, and children, Dylan Satterwhite and Austin Satterwhite; brother, Jeffrey Jimmerson; parents-in-law, Wayne and Gloria Satterwhite; and siblings-in-law, Susan C. Satter and Jason Satterwhite; numerous extended family members; and her beloved dog, Leia.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 29, 2026 by Rev. Jeff Payne at Bush River Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry on Saturday, March 28.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Bush River Baptist Church, 8936 Bush River Road, Newberry SC 29108; or in support of her love of education and students, to Reuben Elementary School, 3605 Spearman Road, Newberry, SC 29108, Attn: M Fellers, Bookkeeper.
