Jerry W. Bishop 57 of Whitmire died Sunday November 15 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday November 19 2015 in the Springdale section of Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry. Jerry was born on June 3 1958 in Laurens the son of the late Ollie Mae Bishop Smith and Lewis Smith. He was an avid fisherman and Clemson Tiger Fan. Jerry enjoyed watching westerns and tending to the flower gardens. He will be remembered most by his caring loving and warm heart. He is survived by children Jessica Bullard (Chris) and Jeremy Bouknight; grandchildren Taylor and Payton Carpenter; sister Linda Stone; nephews Jason Dwayne Jimmy and Michael Silvers; 12 great nieces and nephews including a special great-niece Samantha Silvers; and a very special friend Ann ODonald. The family would like to thank the Hospice Care of Tri-County especially Nica Dowd Alene Hurst and Kelly Warren for their exceptional care shown to Jerry.
