Jessie Randolph "Randy" Carnes, 65, of Newberry, South Carolina, died Sunday, June 16, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on November 20, 1958, in Belton, South Carolina. Randy was the son of the Earl L. Dominick and the late Gloria Marlice Dominick.

Randy began his career as a teenager with Daniel's Construction and later retired from Tom Brigman Contractors. He was a lifelong member of The United Association of Journeymen Pipefitters.

Randy was known as a good 'ole boy and a "Jack of all Trades", He loved western movies, reading books, his dogs and most importantly his family. He enjoyed his rock-n-roll music and didn't meet a stranger.

He is survived by his two daughters, Christy Carnes-Eigner (Darron), Pomaria, SC; Crystal Carnes, Newberry, SC; two grandchildren, Tyler Carnes, Irmo, SC; Kirah Eigner, Pomaria, SC; father, Earl L. Dominick, Newberry, SC; two brothers, Donnie Carnes, Tommy "Duke" Dominick, both of Newberry, SC; his lifelong mate, Miss Jean Stone of Newberry, SC; and her family, Amanda Stone, Donald and Kevin Peay; all of Whitmire, SC; and a host of bonus grandchildren.

Receiving of family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry, SC. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Interment in Newberry Memorial Gardens will immediately follow.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Carnes, Kirah Eigner, RJ Saverance, Tommy Dominick, Talmadge Rowe, and Eddy Turner.
