Joan Dickert Fuller 77 of 1715 Wheeler St. Newberry died Saturday February 06 2010 at her residence. Born in Newberry on August 29 1932 she was a daughter of the late Forrest W. and Ruth Senn Dickert. Mrs. Fuller had worked as a secretary at the Newberry Recreation Department for a number of years and had also enjoyed being a Teacher's Aide at Speers Street Elementary School. She was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church where she had taught the fourth and fifth grade Sunday school classes. Additionally she played the piano for twenty-eight years at Glenn Street and was a member of the church choir and the quartet. Mrs. Fuller is survived by her husband Paul Kemper "P.K." Fuller; a daughter and son-in-law Paula and Tommy Brewington of Newberry; sons and daughter-in-law Steven "Stevie" Fuller and Kemper and Cindy Fuller all of Boston MA; grandchildren Todd and Vivian Dipner of Columbia Eric Dipner and Trent Dipner both of Newberry Melissa Gayle Fuller of Hawaii and Shane Adam Fuller of Boston MA; great grandchildren Austin and Andrew Dipner; a sister Evelyn D. Davis of Charlotte NC and brother and sister-in-law Ray and Nancy Dickert of Newberry. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Glenn Street Baptist Church by Rev. Donald West Rev. Marion Ringer and Rev. Michael Whitesides. Burial was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.Visitation was from 5:00 to 7:30 P.M Monday at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Active pallbearers were Jimmy Harmon Donnie Layton Johnny Hayes Jay Hawkins Wayne Cassidy Heath Simpson Kenny Floyd Frank Bartley and Edward Bartley. Honorary pallbearers were member of the Faith Sunday School Class.
