John Powell Dale, 65, of Silverstreet, entered into eternal rest on November 1, 2024.

Born on July 17, 1959 in Key West, FL he was the son of the late Warren Wisherd Dale (Sharen) and Shirley Bell Fant (Thomas M.)

John served his country in the United States Army.

John was one-of-a-kind and would do anything for anyone. He loved playing the guitar often remarking "I can't play but I like it" and he was happiest when he was outside. Whether it was a picnic at Lake Greenwood, beach trips with Sandra to Isle of Palms, or piddlin' in the yard, John loved to be outdoors, especially with Sandra.

John was proud of his service to his country and he loved his family. He was a devoted husband and loved Sandra dearly, and together they enjoyed many happy times.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Dale; mother and step-father, Shirley and Thomas M. Fant; sons, Duane, Josh, Perry, Kenny, Chris, and Joshua; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Dale (Judy); sister, Patty Dorroh (Doug); great-aunt, Norine Kinard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Newberry.
