John Andrew "Drew" Gosnell, Jr., 42, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Simpsonville, SC. Born in Greenville, he was the son of John Andrew Gosnell and Nora Palmer Greenway. Drew graduated from Greenville High School and Greenville Technical College, where he earned his Registered Nurse certification. He was an RN in the Greenville Hospital System. Drew will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his compassion, and his love of playing the guitar and enjoying all types of music. He lived out a spirit of kindness and generosity, always making time to help his friends and even opening his home to those who needed a place to stay. He brought happiness to others and impacted the lives of everyone he met. Drew is survived by his father, John and wife Susana of Flat Rock, NC; step-father and mother, Jeff and Nora Greenway of Prosperity, SC; a brother, Justin Gosnell of Pelzer, SC; a step-sister, M.G. Greenway of Honolulu, HI; and cousins, Ann-Marie Rader (Jeff), John Hudson (Ashley), Harrison Hudson (Rachel), Mary Ellen Benz (Tyler), Will Nussman (Shea), Henry Nussman, Derek Joye, Laurin Joye Brooks, Craig Gosnell, Mark Gosnell, Daniel Gosnell, Meagan Gower Vanzant, Brendan Gower, Allison Gosnell McClellan, Amy Gosnell Wilkinson, Emma Gosnell, and James Gosnell. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 from 1:00 to 1:45 at Chapin United Methodist Church, 415 Lexington Ave, Chapin, SC. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, held by Rev. Jody Flowers and Rev. Paul Allen.
