John Newell a 2007 graduate of Newberry College and a former member of the Newberry College football team died September 2 2008. A memorial service was held on Friday Sept. 5 at 10 AM in Wiles Chapel on the Newberry College campus. Visitation for John was Saturday from 5-7 PM at Dunbar Funeral Home in Irmo and funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2:00 pm at Union Methodist Church in Irmo.
