Obituary

Jordan Troy Baker 20 lost his life in a tragic car accident Sunday September 6 2015 in Stephenson Michigan. Jimmy Troy Baker and Michelle Robertson Baker of Whitmire SC welcomed their baby boy into the world on September 21 1994. Jordan would have celebrated his 21st birthday this month. Jordan is survived by his maternal grandparents Harmon and Cathy Brehmer of Newberry SC and Mike and Gail Robertson of Burlington NC and maternal great grandmother Louella Brehmer. His paternal grandparents are Joyce Baker and the late ML Baker of Whitmire SC. Jordan had nieces nephews aunts uncles and cousins who will miss him greatly. Jordan had 2 sisters who loved him immensely Jenna Marie Baker and Catherine Amelia Baker. Jordans brother Shane Johnson Baker MI had become a mentor and friend. Jordan recently moved to Michigan to work for Shanes company Johnson Builders where he was enjoying life new adventures and new friends. Visitation for Jordan will be Wednesday September 9th at Friendship Baptist Church from 6 to 8pm. We will say our last goodbyes on Thursday September 10th at Friendship Baptist Church. The service will begin at 4pm conducted by Pastor Todd Johnson along with speakers Pastor Eddie Bledsoe and family friend Hank Parker. Jordan was a graduate of Whitmire Community School which he strongly viewed as a waste of his time because he knew everything. Jordan was extremely smart and gifted challenging his teachers to the fullest extent. Jordan wrestled played basketball and football. He was a respected and valued team player on all levels. If Jordans essence could be captured in words it would be carefree and kind. Jordan believed life should be lived without worry. He was a lover of animals and could not pass by a stray dog without bringing it home. He loved his dogs Tyson and Rocky like they were his children and took them everywhere he went. Jordan had many nicknames with Stinky being the family favorite. His friends mostly referred to him as Bake. Pallbearers will be his friends Colby English Justin Mundy Jonathan Alcocer Thomas Miller Cole Miller and nephew Dylan Johnson. Memorials can be made to Whitmire Community School Athletic Booster Club 172 Old Airport Rd. Whitmire SC 29178 and / or Newberry County Animal Shelter 240 Public Works Dr. Newberry SC 29108.
