Joyce Marie Sucher Jaqua, 82, of Prosperity, SC, entered into her heavenly home on Sunday morning, April 14, 2024, at her residence.

Born May 1, 1941, in Akron, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer Conrad Brueggeman and the late Sadye Karolyn Brueggeman.

Joyce was baptized on June 29, 1941 by Pastor W. E. Bay at Grace Lutheran Church, Akron and confirmed on April 3, 1955 by Pastor Carl H. Toelke at Grace Lutheran Church, Akron.

Joyce, affectionately known as "Baba" was a true Christian to our Lord and savior. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Akron, Ohio for fifty years and a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church in Prosperity, SC. Joyce was known to be a talented artist of primitive art and craft styles. In her past time, she enjoyed attending art and craft shows with her sisters, Sue and Ann and most importantly spending time with her beloved family. Her most enjoyed and special times in life were hosting family dinners during the holidays - especially Christmas and taking family vacations in Florida.

In addition to her husband of 26 years, John "Jack" Jaqua; she is survived by her children, Tobe Kiehl (Ron) and Troy Sucher both of Prosperity, grandchildren Bonnie Sue Alger (Adam), Jacob Kiehl (Malia),Benjamin Kiehl (Chelsea) and Simeon Kiehl (Rebecca), great grandchildren Gabriel Alger, Grace Alger, twins Juniper and Emerson Kiehl, Eleanor Kiehl, Stella Kiehl, Thomas Kiehl, and Delilah Kiehl; and great-great grandchildren Elijah Alger and Lillian Alger.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband of 37 years, James Robert Sucher.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 900 Dreher Island Rd, Chapin, SC 29036. Burial will follow In Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church Cemetery, 2192 Bethel Church Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127.

A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be: Jacob Kiehl, Benjamin Kiehl, Simeon Kiehl, Adam Alger, Gabriel Alger, and Ronald Kiehl.
