Juanita Swindler Black 90 of 218 North Main Street Prosperity widow of Ralph B. Black died Thursday June 26 2003 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Mrs. Black was born on July 14 1912 in Newberry a daughter of the late Henry W. and Lillie Mae Davis Swindler. She was a retired elementary school teacher having taught for over 30 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church a former Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher a member of WELCA and was involved in many other church activities. She was a member of the United Daughters of the ConfederacyMrs. Black is survived by two sons R. Buck Black and H. Luke Black both of Prosperity; a sister Dare S. Dominick of Prosperity and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Kathryn S. Pender and a brother Joe Wesley Swindler.Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 P.
