Judith "Judy" Caldwell French, 71, of Newberry died at her residence on Sunday, September 30, 2018.
Born on November 28, 1946 in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Lillie Caldwell.
Judy graduated from Newberry High School, received an associate degree from Piedmont Technical College and worked with the Shakespeare Company until her retirement.
A hard working woman, Judy had a great sense of humor and a fondness for laughter. She loved her Clemson tigers. Above all else, she was a great mother who loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Grover Wallace French, III; children, Darlene Branham (Jody) of Lugoff, Kevin Jordan of Chester, John Jordan of Newberry, Tanya French (Candace) of Ridgeway and Wally French (Whitney) of Tigerville; grandchildren, Caitlin, Jordan, Seth, Harper, and Shelby; great grandchild, Lilah Mae; and sister, Nita C. Parnell of Newberry.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Lanny W. Jordan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel in Newberry conducted by Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home.
