June Gabriel Schuckardt 69 of 258 SC Highway 391 Prosperity widow of William J. Schuckardt died Thursday October 2 2003 at her residence.Mrs. Schuckardt was born on June 15 1934 in Springfield IL a daughter of the late William and Augusta Madelinsky Gabriel. She retired from the U.S. Department of Education in Washington DC. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church and the Hartford Community Club. She was an advisor to the Newberry County Newcomers and was a Past President of the Columbia Group of Arpad Darazs Singers.Mrs. Schuckardt is survived by two sisters Mildred G. Jorgensen of Santa Rosa CA and Betty Jane G. Shores of Chatham IL and a brother Edward A. Gabriel of St. Augustine FL.Funeral Mass for June Gabriel Schuckardt will be offered at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Beaufort.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday at her residence 258 SC Highway 391 Prosperity.
