June Hawkins Grant, 81, of Little Mountain died Wednesday morning, February 21, 2018, at her residence. Born on June 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Virgil Hawkins and Lila Lake Hawkins. Until retirement, she worked for the SC School Administrations Association. Mrs. Grant was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church where she enjoyed membership in the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class and the Marjory Derrick Circle. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her card playing friends from church on Mondays. Survivors include her daughters, Linda Kay Grant and Barbara Ann Grant both of Little Mountain; and sisters, Cynthia Kay Lindler (Carl) and Evelyn Mills both of Prosperity. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Charles Eugene "Gene" Grant; and brothers Thomas L. Hawkins and Lewis Stanley Hawkins. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 6:00 until 7:30 pm at Whitaker Funeral Home, 939 Chapin Rd. in Chapin. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Chapin United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Jody Flowers. Burial will follow in Whitmire Cemetery, Whitmire, SC.
