Karen Rhinehart Amick, age 48, of Whitmire, died November 16, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Ben Oliver and Glenda Childers Rhinehart.

Karen was a loving person - she loved God and loved her family, especially her 10 grandbabies. She was a mom at heart, and all children felt comfortable around "Momma K-K". Karen had a beautiful smile that communicated her joy and happiness, even through difficult circumstances. She found joy in life, enjoying cooking, fishing and sipping on her favorite beverages – Mountain Dew and Coca-Cola. Karen was brave and kind. She was truly the backbone of the family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband and best friend of 31 years, Kenny Amick; 4 Children, Scott (Kahla) of Newberry. Austin (Daniela) of Prosperity. Alexis (Cole) Whitmire of Whitmire, Amber (Dominique) of Newberry. 10 Grandchildren, Jordan, Jonas, Journi, Rosalie, Caroline, Aiden, Cash, Emmett, D'Andre, Autumn. 3 sisters, Tammy (Neil), Christie (Scottie) of Newberry, Chandra (Greg) of Lexington. 3 half-sisters, Diane of Newberry, Jan and Mary of Rockhill, SC. Nieces and Nephews, Tabitha (Adam), Chasity, Kimberly (Walker) Robin, Scot Jr. (Amber), April (Demetrius), Johnathan, Maria, Jennifer, JP and Larry. Many more and lots of great nieces and nephews. Many children she claimed as her own.

Funeral services will be held at Whitmire First Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2022, officiated by Rev. Rita Crawford. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 PM.

Interment will follow in Whitmire Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to defray the costs of funeral arrangements.
