Kathleen Curtis Britt 97 widow of Charles H. Britt died Friday March 26 2010 at Generations of Chapin. Born in Mt. Sterling Kentucky on December 31 1912 she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Quincey King Curtis. Mrs. Britt was a devoted Christian woman who faithfully read her Bible daily. She was a loving and caring mother grandmother great and great-great grandmother. She also had a compassionate love for animals. She is survived by her sons and their spouses Dick and Joyce Britt of Irmo and Jerry and Linda Britt of Columbia; a sister Justina Lockhart of Newberry; grandchildren and spouses Teala and Steve Armfield of Newberry Terry and Marlene Britt of Little Mountain Toby and Meg Britt of Newberry Tonya and Jerry O'Cain of Prosperity David and Stephanie Britt of Columbia John Britt of Columbia Paul and Anna Britt of Columbia and Mark Britt of Columbia; nine great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were conducted at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Philip Vaughn.
