Kevin Bubba J. Lever 54 of Prosperity died Friday January 1 2016 at his residence. Visitation will be on Sunday January 3 2016 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Whitaker Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. James Chaffins. Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. He was born in Newberry on August 4 1961 a son of Lewis and Jackie Lever. Kevin thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved all animals especially horses. He served as a father figure to many. His family will remember him most by his pure joy of life. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Bernice Harris Lever; children Melissa Lever of Newberry Kathy Barnes of Blythewood and Timmy Barnes of Prosperity; grandchildren Crystal Barnes Allen Noah and Amber Noah all of Prosperity and Taylor Barnes of KY; siblings Curtis (Linda) Lever Teresa (Rick) Painter and Steven (Pat) Lever all of Newberry; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
