L. Wayne Senn, 65 years old, died on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Lexington Medical Center. Wayne was born in Newberry, SC on April 13, 1955, a son of the late Larry and Dorothy "Dot" Sterling Senn. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry and had been employed with Shakespeare of Newberry. Wayne enjoyed the out of doors, liked fishing, was partial to taking his grandchildren fishing on the pond and had a lot of fun raising and playing with his goats. He was a member of the Beaverdam Fish Club. Survivors include his wife, Jean Maroney Senn; son Blake Senn and wife Briana of Newberry; sister, Marcia Godwin and husband Ed of Irmo; and three grandchildren, Maximus, Blaine and Autumn Senn. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 18 at Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2021 at First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
