LaDonna Jean Hughes Sicafoose went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 9th, 2021. She was surrounded by her family at her home in Irmo, SC. She was a warrior during her 14 year battle with ovarian cancer. LaDonna was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma and raised in California. She and her husband moved to Nine Mile Falls, Washington in 1987 where they lived until January 2021, when they moved to South Carolina. LaDonna's talent for art came through her passion in sewing. She loved making wedding dresses, hats, porcelain dolls and sewing for friends and family. She was part of a Red Hat Society, The Dazzling Diva Dames. On St Patrick's Day each year, they would go to O'Doherty's in downtown Spokane and sing. LaDonna was passionate about her family and is survived by her husband of 41 years James M Sicafoose, her daughter Melissa Passer (Marcus) of Irmo, sister Lana Nightingale (Kenneth) of Yuba City, CA; a nephew, David Nightingale of Yuba City CA; 3 grandchildren, Garrett, Jordan and Mikaelah; and numerous great grandchildren, including Rayne, Feyre, Lily, Daemon, Cas and Aaleyah. She was preceeded in death by her son, Michael J Sicafoose and her parents, Madgelene and Gus Hughes. Memorial contributions may be made to OCRA - Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance and Shriners Hospital for Children. A celebration of life is planned on Saturday, May 22nd 1pm at Suncrest Family Worship Center in Nine Mile Falls, WA. Please dress in bright colors and wear a hat if you wish.
