Larry F. Benton, 73, of Newberry, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home. He was born on November 10, 1945 in Conway, SC. Larry was a construction engineer who worked in the construction business most of his life. Fishing was a favorite hobby of Larry's, He enjoyed Charleston and the coastal areas of South Carolina. Survivors include his brother in Christ, Michael A. Shealy and Michael's wife Beverly Griffin; and other chosen family, Ada Griffin and Deena Griffin. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on July 3, 2019 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 209 New Hope Road, Pomaria, SC.
