Lena Werts Leagan 72 of Pomaria SC died Wednesday Sept. 9 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Saturday September 12 2015 in the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Ray Riddle. Interment will be in the Pomaria Community Cemetery. Visitation for Lena Leagan will be from 10:00 to 11:00 Am Saturday prior the her funeral service. She was born on Dec. 30 1942 in Saluda County a daughter of the late Andrew C. and Gussie Yongue Werts. Mrs. Leagan was a retired small business owner. She was a positive person who was always happy and smiling. She is survived by her children James C. Clete Leagan Jr. of Merritt Island FL and Leanne Livingston and her fiance Jeff Byrd of Prosperity; her granddaughter Katie Cox and her husband Chad Cox of Bluffton; her great grandchildren Brock and Bailey Cox; her sister Rebecca Trapp (Richard) of Little Mountain; and her brother Robert A. Werts of West Columbia; She was predeceased by her husband James Jim Leagan and a brother Clyde Werts. Pallbearers will be Jerry Cracraft James Lowman Gary Johnson Rodger Eargle Paul Smith and Paul M. Smith. Lena also leaves her many wonderful friends of Bill W. to cherish her memory.
