Lera Duncan Dickert 93 formerly of Leita Street widow of Daniel C. Dickert Sr. died Sunday August 23 at White Oak Manor Newberry. She was born in Newberry July 23 1916 the daughter of the late Clarence and Lera Long Duncan. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dickert is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Daniel C. Jr. and Sandra Dickert of Prosperity; Ronald C. Sr. and Rosemarie Dickert of Newberry; two sons-in-law Robert L. Forbis of Newberry and Leo F. Thomas Jr. of Lexington; a brother Paul Duncan of Newberry; a sister Kathryn Riebe of Newberry; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters Peggy D. Forbis and Susan D. Thomas five sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were conducted at 11 A.M. Wednesday at the Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Stephen Todd and Rev. Caldwell Day. Burial was in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Whitaker Funeral Home Newberry. Active pallbearers were Cannon Dickert Ronnie Dickert Jr. Ryan Dickert Mark Kesler Shannon Pollard and Andy Senn.
