Lila Lee Haithcock Norton 62 of 196 Compass Drive Newberry died Friday May 20 2011. Born on October 25 1948 in Marlboro County she was a daughter of the late Grady and Letha Mae Ramsey Haithcock. Lila worked for 25 years as a supervisor for Campbell Soup Company. She enjoyed fishing and watching Nascar and the Carolina Gamecocks play. She especially loved her grandchildren. Mrs. Norton is survived by her daughter Kimberly Hope Jones of Norway; sons Billy Joe Ratt (Melinda) Norton Sr. of Newberry Terry Norton of Dillon Billy Ray (Donna) Norton of Whitmire Jimmy Dean Norton of Sumter and Michael Haithcock of NC; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren including Megan who was her grandmothers heart; sisters Elizabeth Dean Ramsey of Mullins and Diane Hall of High Pointe NC. She was predeceased by her ex-husband Billy Norton her brother Bo and a granddaughter Karen Hope Norton. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Monday at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel Newberry by the Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and Ray Davis. Interment did follow in Tabor Methodist Cemetery in Newberry. The family was at the home of Billy Joe and Melinda Norton 196 Compass Drive Newberry and friends are welcome to visit anytime throughout the weekend.
