Linda Harmon Bedenbaugh, 72, of Prosperity, died on July 5, 2017 at Lexington Medical Center.
A lifelong resident of Newberry County, she was born on October 17, 1944 to the late Paul Edward and "Dit" Powell Harmon.
Linda worked with Old School Manufacturing for 25 years and retired from C.D. Coleman Oil Company.
She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Linda was a spiritual woman, not someone who would be thinking about herself but always concerned about others. She was also a strong, spunky woman and a caring person who loved her family dearly and also loved her animals.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Phillip Bedenbaugh; children, Lisa Kinard (Jeffery) of Prosperity, Steve Bedenbaugh of Irmo and Shanon Chappell (Mark) of Pomaria; siblings, Paula Cromer of Prosperity and Ricky Harmon of Pell City, Alabama; and her dog, Lady. She was predeceased by her uncle, Kenneth Able Harmon.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Whitaker Funeral Home in Newberry conducted by Rev. Jimmy Counts. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 until 11:30 AM.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey Kinard, Mark Chappell, Chase Chappell, Eric Buchanan, Craig Bedenbaugh and Mat Harmon.
