Linda "Geraldine" Johnson, age 80 of Newberry, died peacefully on December 7, 2021.
Born November 23, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Oscar Kenneth and Flora Elizabeth Quick.
Geraldine will be remembered as a selfless and giving person who always made time to be present for those who needed a helping hand or a listening ear. She was an active member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and enjoyed participating in any volunteer activity that helped the community. She is survived by her sons, Al Johnson, Jr. (Candice) of Newberry and Gerald Johnson (Renée) of Little Mountain; her brother, Frederick Joseph Quick of Greenville; and her grandsons Trey, Alex, and Sean Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Albert Lewis Johnson, Sr.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 11:00am at Lewis Memorial United Methodists Church in Newberry, held by Rev. Jimmy Counts. Visitation will be held one hour prior in the parish hall. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
