IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Fischer
Minick
January 7, 1961 – May 23, 2025
Lisa Fischer Minick, 64, of Winnsboro, SC, died on Friday, May 23, 2025, at her home. Born on January 7, 1961, in Newberry, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Albert Fischer and Anne Fischer.
Lisa was a long-time member at The Lutheran Church of The Redeemer in Newberry. Lisa was an all around wonderful and loving mother. She loved gardening and decorating her home with the flowers that she grew in her garden. Lisa also cultivated her vegetable garden. Through her great love and desire of the outdoors, she would often enjoy hunting and fishing.
She was a Rock & Roll kind of gal, with a one-of-a-kind personality. She would enjoy going out dancing and loved getting out on her bicycle for an enjoyable ride with her family. If you knew Lisa, you knew she loved the water. Being out on Lake Murray and taking trips to the beach brought her the most pleasure in life. Some of her most memorable, yet favorite places to visit were Myrtle Beach, beautiful Charleston, South Carolina and Key West, Florida. Although, when it came to sports, the house may have been divided, Lisa faithfully and avidly rooted for her Clemson Tigers. This brought upon the treasured memory of teaching her son how to throw his first football.
Besides having a green thumb, Lisa loved cooking and took great delight in cooking for her family and friends over the years. Even though she would at times cook more than enough – it was the time she spent with those she loved that made the count.
Lisa held a special place in her heart for animals, especially her K-9 companion, Angel.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Charles "Chuck" G. Minick; her children, Jon Benton (Madeline) and Anne A. Cromer (Josh). She is also survived by four grandchildren, as well as her beloved granddaughter, Nadia Marie Benton.
A Celebration of Life to honor Lisa's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to a Humane Society of one's choice; or to The Lutheran Church of The Redeemer, 1515 Boundary St. Newberry, SC 29108.
Memories and condolences may be shared here on her tribute page.
Whitaker Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Lisa F. Minick.
