Obituary

Lou Ringer Graves, 74, of Columbia died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Providence Hospital Northeast. Lou was born on July 30, 1944 in Newberry, a daughter of the late Thomas E. Ringer, Jr. and Louanna Parrott Ringer. She was a member of Incarnation Lutheran Church and was retired from the SC Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services following more than thirty-six years of employment with them. "Bobby" Morgan (Dwayne Prosser) of South Congaree; brothers, Thomas E. Ringer, III of Spartanburg and Keith W. Ringer (Mary) of Columbia; nieces and nephews, Laurie Coggins (Phillip), Bradford Thomas Ringer, Christopher William Ringer and AnnaMarie Caroline Ringer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Brian D. Morgan. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 17 at Incarnation Lutheran Church in Columbia with the Rev. Jane Mitchum and the Rev. Mary Anderson presiding. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 16 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel in Columbia. Pallbearers will be Michael Hayes, Robert Dawkins, John Paul Whitaker, Roger Caldwell, Doug Whitesides, Tripp Rush, Christopher Ringer and Brad Ringer. Memorials are suggested to the Louanna P. Ringer Memorial Music Scholarship or the Thomas E. Ringer, Jr. Memorial Science Scholarship both at Newberry College, 2100 College St., Newberry, SC 29108.
