Lucia Hunter Spotts 90 of formerly 2401 Wilson Road Newberry widow of Fuller D. Spotts died Wednesday November 30 2005 at the home of her son.Mrs. Spotts was born on June 19 1915 in Newberry County a daughter of the late Rufus B. and Annie Morris Hunter. She was a homemaker and former co-owner of Eagle Construction Company a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer life member of the W. E. L. C. A. the Fifty Plus a member of the Country Club of Newberry and a former member of the Marion Davis Mothers' Club.Mrs. Spotts is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Jean and Bob Mathews of Conover NC; a son and daughter-in-law Philip M. and Kathy Spotts of Newberry; eight grandchildren Cathy Spotts Hamilton of Knoxville TN Jeff Spotts of Chapin Jill Spotts of Greer Paige Mathews Woodward and husband Greg M. Woodward of Greensboro NC Bart Mathews and wife Patti Feeny Mathews of Lilburn GA Chad Mathews of Lilburn GA Hunter Spotts and wife Wendy Pieffer of Baltimore MD Langston Spotts and wife Christie of Irmo; four great grandsons; three step-grandchildren Kelley Pfeffer of Ashburn VA Kenley Loftis of Irmo and Kathryn Hampton of Columbia; and five step-great-grandsons. She was predeceased by a son Al Spotts and six brothers and one sister.Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 A.M. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home by the Rev. Steve Counts. Interment was in the Rosemont Cemetery Springdale Section.Visitation was Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the Whitaker Funeral Home. The family was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Philip M.
