Lucretia Butler Driscoll, 95, of Newberry, widow of William Ambrose Driscoll, died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Springfield Place in Newberry. Mrs. Driscoll was born on September 12, 1921 in Silverstreet, SC, a daughter of the late James C. and Minnie Bowers Butler. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Newberry. She is survived by her nieces, nephews and caring friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Harvey Eugene Butler, James Sammie Butler, Lois Bease Butler Dickert, Annie Bernese Butler Hawkins and Herman Bowers Butler. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Thursday at Whitaker Funeral Home with visitation to follow from 6:30 until 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM, on Friday, January 27 at St. Mark's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
