Lucy E. Arnold, 98, of Newberry, South Carolina, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home. She was born in Start, Louisiana, on March 5, 1927, to the late Ernest Louis and Lucy Lee Tullos.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lucy was known to be a talented cook. Her favorite dishes to cook were Cajun cuisine; her squirrel jambalaya was a family favorite. Throughout her years, in her free time she enjoyed fishing and nature.

Surviving members of the family are her sons, Dr. Michael Arnold of Prosperity, South Carolina, and Kenneth W. Arnold of Slaughter, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Elliott Arnold; son, Thomas M. Arnold, and daughter-in-law, Merle Barbara Arnold.
