Lynn S. Clary 52 of Chapin SC died on June 21 2013 in Chapin SC. A Celebration of Life Service was conducted at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Orangeburg by Rev. David Caughman and Rev. Jody Flowers at 12 noon on June 24 2013. The family did receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. She was preceded in death by her mother Sara T. Shuler of Orangeburg SC. She is survived by her husband Leslie R. Smith of Chapin SC; her children William D. Clary Hampton S. Clary and S. Caroline Clary of Chapin SC; her father Hubert L. Shuler Jr. of Orangeburg SC; brothers Hubert L. Shuler III (Julianne) of Orangeburg SC and Edwin T. Shuler of Charlotte NC; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Clary was born in Orangeburg where she spent much of her life. She graduated from Wade Hampton Academy and attended Converse College Clemson University and Columbia College. She was employed with School District 5 of Lexington & Richland Counties where she had recently been named Assistant Student Nutrition Manager for the new Spring Hill High School. She was a member of Chapin United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that all memorial gifts be sent to Chapin United Methodist Church Building Fund 415 Lexington Avenue Chapin SC 29036.
