Macey Dylan Nichols 35 of Newberry died Thursday September 4 2014. Born on March 27 1979 he was a son of Michael Keith Nichols of Newberry and Cheryl Lester Reid of Whitmire. The family did receive friends on Saturday September 6 2014 from 11:00 AM to 12 noon at Whitaker Funeral Home. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Bruce Palmer did follow at 12:30 PM in the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery. The family was at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Nichols 1107 Reid St. Newberry. Dylan was employed with Cannon Rentals. Texting with friends and drawing were two of his favorite activities and he had a special love for his nephews. In addition to his parents he is survived by his grandparents Bobby and Jean Nichols of Newberry; step mother Charlene Nichols of Newberry; step-father Michael Reid of Whitmire; sister Jessica Michelle Nichols (Cyril Garrett) of Newberry; brother Joshua Warren (Ghen) Nichols of Newberry; step brothers Daniel Scott of South Dakota and Sean Scott of Prosperity; nephews Andrew Bennett Issac Nichols and Cyril Garrett II all of Newberry; aunts Renee (Junior) Parkman and Karen (Steve) Wyatt all of Newberry and uncle Buddy (Susan) Lester of Newberry. He was predeceased by grandparents Mildred Totsy English and Jimmie Lester.
