Madeleine Roger

Madeleine Roger , 80, of Chapin, South Carolina died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at her residence.

Madeleine was born in the coastal town of Biddeford, Maine, on November 20, 1945, to Emile and Lillian (Dube) Verville. She was a retired caregiver for those with developmental challenges. Madeleine was of Catholic faith, and a typical Maine native, fiercely independent, and stubborn, living by herself before health issues forced her to move to South Carolina to live with her daughter Missi.

She was most proud of her kids, Melissa "Missi" Labbe, Peter Valcourt, Maurice Valcourt, and Robin Cote. Her grandchildren include Logan Night, Aiden Labbe, Henry Valcourt, Olivia Valcourt, Peter Valcourt, Ryan Valcourt, and Chelsea Valcourt. She is also survived by her sister, Claudette Paneccasio. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael Roger.

Services will take place at a later date in Maine.
