Margaret "Honey" Henneka, 85, of Chapin, SC, passed away surrounded by family on January 17, 2025, at her home. She was born on March 10, 1939, in Jersey City, NJ, a daughter of Walter and Mary (Carr) Broadbent.
Margaret was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
She enjoyed listening to music, her favorite, Connie Francis and Elvis. Margaret also found enjoyment in card games and crossword puzzles. Her family has fond memories of going to Keansburg Amusement Park, spending holidays together, bargain hunting, and her love for Schnauzers.
In her younger years, Honey and her friend Catherine ran a hot dog truck in New Jersey. A hardworking and dedicated woman, Margaret always did everything she could to support her family.
She had a knack for making people laugh. Above all, Honey adored her grandchildren.
Honey is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Vincent Carnavale, Chapin, SC; and her two grandsons, Anthony Carnavale and Joseph Carnavale. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Henneka, her son, Joseph Henneka, and her brother Walter Broadbent, Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Homeward Bound Rescue.
Messages and memories may be shared with the family on her tribute wall.
