Margaret Lester Shealy 93 formerly of 1352 Wilson Road Newberry died Monday October 17 2011 at Springfield Place. Born on July 5 1918 in Newberry she was a daughter of the late James Claude and Mabel Derrick Lester. Margaret was married to the late Lewis J. Shealy for more than 67 years. Mrs. Shealy was employed at Garners Shoe Store for over twenty-five years. She was a devoted member of Faith Lutheran Church and a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. She was also a former member of the Newberry Civitan Club. She especially enjoyed years of gardening with her husband and was very fond of kitty cats. She was a loving mother grandmother and great grandmother and also a faithful care taker to others. Mrs. Shealy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Mabel S. and D. Alan Reighley III of West Lawn PA; grandchildren and spouses Kim and Doug McNames of Wilmington DE Donna and Juan Ayala of Leesport PA and Christopher and Melody Reighley of Wilmington OH; great grandchildren Margaret and Aaron Ayala Shannon McNames and Conner and Delaney Reighley; four sisters Janelle (Biemann) Otherson of Charleston Freda Dawkins of Greenville Helen (Jim) Phelps of Charleston and Mildred Walker of Camden; and two brothers J. C. Lester and Clyde (Betty) Lester all of Newberry. She was predeceased by a great granddaughter Colleen Lake McNames. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church by the Rev. Charles Aurand. Entombment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
