Margie Lee Amick, 90, of Chapin, SC passed away on March 30, 2023 at Lexington Community Hospice House.

Born on November 27, 1932 in Chapin, Margie was the daughter of the late Wilber Marto Amick (1950) and Bessie "Beck" Derrick Amick (1997).

Margie attended Little Mountain elementary and graduated from Prosperity High School, Class of 1950. She retired from Bank of America with 32 years exemplary service to the company.

Margie is survived by her niece, Michele Hathorne, Orlando FL; and nephews, Byron Amick, Prosperity, SC and Chad Amick, Woodruff, SC; sister-in-law, Lois Amick, Irmo, SC; and a very loyal cousin, Mac Amick, Jr. Margie is the last member of her immediate family.

Margie was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Wilber Broadus Amick (2004) and Linda Rae Amick (2014) and a very special friend, Clarence "Hump" Huffstetler (2015).

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Terry Hundley and Rev. Megan Lineberger at 2:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2023 at Bethel Lutheran Church, White Rock, SC. Interment will follow at Macedonia Church Cemetery, Prosperity, SC.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Sunday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Chapin.
