Obituary

Marilyn Brennan Millis 82 passed away February 26 2015 at the Stanton Nursing Home in Glens Falls after a short illness. Friends may call from 5 to 7p.m. Monday March 2 at Densmore Funeral Home Inc 7 Sherman Avenue. Corinth NY Funeral will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday March 2 at the funeral with the Rev. Myron Ducharme officiating. Marilyn formerly resided on Saratoga Avenue in Corinth New York for 40 years before retiring to Prosperity South Carolina where she and her husband Walter lived until his death on March 2 2003. She then returned to Queensbury where she resided at the Cedars Independent Living Community. Marilyn was born July 24 1932 in Hudson Falls New York to James and Beatrice Brennan. She married Walter Millis on May 13 1950 and they remained together for 53 years prior to his passing. Marilyn worked as a waitress at many of the local dude ranches. She also worked at Norms Hideaway in Lake Luzerne until her retirement. She was a member of the Corinth Emergency Squad Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family here and her second family in South Carolina. She loved playing cards and dominos with her friends and family. She also loved the beach whether in South Carolina or in Maine where she camped with her daughter and son-in-law. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her sister Ruth and her husband Raymond Stewart her sister Frances and her husband Alvey Wood her brothers James Sonny Brennan and Raymond Butch Brennan and her brother-in-law Raymond Fischer. Marilyn is survived by her daughters Teresa and Wayne Archard Patricia and John Delong Sonja and Wade Holmes and her son Michael Millis and his friend Sharon Jenkins 10 grandchildren Martha and Alan Sweenor Vicky and Al Campney Darrell and Sabrina Archard Peter and Richelle Archard Robin and Brian Mundell Diana and Matt Welch Danny Games and his friend Katrina Willett Wade Holmes and his friend Erin DeMarsh Cassie Holmes and Carly Holmes 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by 2 sisters Eleanor Fischer of Hudson Falls and Janice and William Campbell of Punta Gorda Florida and a sister-in-law Sue Brennan of Prosperity South Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews but especially her nieces Caren and Ken Polsten and Cathy Garner of Prosperity South Carolina. We wish to thank all at the Stanton Nursing Home for their consent and loving care and a special thanks to Carolyn Bean for her wonderful care in and out of the nursing home of our mother.
