Marjorie Force Pruitt Morison, 95, died on Tuesday August 3, 2021 at her residence.
Born on February 5, 1926 in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Lillian Frances Griffin Force and the late Charlie Artemus Force, Sr.
She was first married to the late Kenneth Burton Pruitt, Sr. Of that union, she is survived by a son, Kenneth (Sandra) Burton Pruitt, Jr. of Seneca, SC. Of her second marriage to the late David Walker Morison, Sr. she is survived by two sons: David (Caroline) Walker Morison Jr. of Kennesaw, GA and Charles (Jenn) Thomas Morison of Goleta, CA.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kenneth (Bonnie) Burton Pruitt, III; Erin (Cory) Amanda Pruitt Drennon, and Landon (Ashley) Richard Pruitt; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Jackson, and Hudson Drennon; Eleanor and Sydney Pruitt, and Theodore and Martha Rose Pruitt.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Marjorie was predeceased by a brother, Charlie A. Force, Jr; a sister, Helen Force Humphries; and an infant great-grandson, Davison Ford Drennon.
Marjorie graduated Saluda High School in 1943 and attended Newberry College. She spent most of her career at Newberry Federal Savings Bank and was a devout member of Central United Methodist Church. Her family was undoubtedly her true pride and joy.
Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Joe Long at 1 PM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Central United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Rosemont cemetery. For those wishing to join services online, livestreaming options are available either by clicking the link here:
