Marsha Lominack Lee, of Greer, SC, died January 28, 2021.
Born March 13, 1946, in Newberry, SC, she was the daughter of the late Erlene Wheeler Lominack and Edward Kirby Lominack, Sr. of Newberry, SC. Mrs. Lee graduated from Newberry High School and Columbia College. She received her master's degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She worked as a teacher for thirty years in Charleston, SC, Chattanooga, TN, Murfreesboro, TN, Columbia, SC and Irmo, SC. She retired from teaching in 2000.
Mrs. Lee was a longtime member of United Methodist Churches, where she volunteered in various positions. She was also a member of Sunday School Classes and the United Methodist Women. For the last ten years she was a member of Memorial UMC in Greer. In addition to her voluntary work at Memorial, for several years Mrs. Lee and her sister had a "Book Bag" ministry for homeless persons.
Marsha enjoyed activities like yard work, photography, reading, and visiting grandchildren. She was an active member of the PEO, Chapter AE. She and Dennis traveled extensively both before and after retiring, including trips to Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Scotland and many of the US states.
Survivors include her loving husband of 21 years, Rev. Dennis Ray Lee; a son, Christopher Kirby McClure and wife Kimberly of Columbia; Dennis' daughters, Rev. Christy Lee Sharp and husband Dr. Otto Sharp of Asheville; and Susan Lee Balsinger and husband Brett Balsinger of Fort Mill. She and Dennis were blessed with seven grandchildren: Grace and Rollins McClure; Evan, Hunter and Eric Sharp; and Ava and Kade Balsinger. She is also survived by a sister, Karen Moose and husband Harry E. Moose of Greer, and a brother Edward Kirby Lominack, Jr., MD and wife Almena of Greenville; and Dennis' siblings, Wedrell W. Lee and wife Helen of Pinewood, and Joyce Lee Burns and husband Dr. Thomas E. Burns of Greer.
A graveside service for Marsha Lominack Lee will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry, SC. The service will be open for to all to attend. Social distancing and the wearing of masks will be observed.
