Martha P. Clements formerly of 211 North Main St. Prosperity died Thursday December 6 2007 at Springfield Place in Newberry. She was born in Clarendon County the daughter of the late P. T. R. and Martha Alvenia Strange Haley. She was the owner and operator of Prosperity Dry Cleaners for over 50 years and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star.Mrs. Clements was twice married first to the late Al Potter and second to the late George Clements. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Rev. Al Potter and Rev. Timothea Sharpe of Prosperity; a daughter and a son-in-law Martha P. and Pearce W. Fleming of Columbia; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of 12 siblings.Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday December 8 2007 in Grace Lutheran Church by the Rev. Eric Fink. Interment was in Newberry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church P.O. Box 188 Prosperity SC 29127. Active pallbearers were Todd Potter Pearce W.
